Alima-Cheryl Ba, President
Alima is a Finance and Corporate Manager at Arax Properties a company investing and managing real estate Assets. Prior to joining Arax, she was an Accounting Manager at TMF where she served on the board of several private equity vehicles.For more than ten years she has been working in the financial services industry and started her career as an auditor for KPMG and then Deloitte. In addition to her private equity and real estate and infrastructure exposure, she also worked on industrial engagements.Member of Luxafrica for more than three years, she graduated from EDHEC Business School in 2010 with a Master in Management with major in Accounting and Finance.
Bertrand Moupfouma, Founding Member and Vice-President
Bertrand is lawyer and founding partner of Themis Lex a law firm based in Luxembourg. He is active in M&A practice, corporate, investment fund, financing transaction, with a focus on venture capital, private equity and real estate with over 15 years of practice. He has also developed a strong expertise relating to intellectual property and communication technologies.Bertrand holds a Master’s degree in international business law and management (HEC, France in partnership with ESCP, France).
Belkacem Hammoulhadj, Vice-President
Belkacem has more than 10 years’ experience in the financial industry in Luxembourg. He worked mainly for Investment Funds and Consulting firms. Currently he is a Portfolio Oversight Manager at Bamboo Capital Partners where his role is mainly monitoring investments in the emerging markets. Belkacem has a deep interest in fostering business in Africa, he was implicated in developing Private Equity investments in north Africa, he co-founded a company in Algeria and he is helping several early entrepreneurs by bringing network, expertise and investments.Belkacem holds a Master degree from Sorbonne University and impact investing certification from ESSEC.Belkacem is a member of LuxAfrica since 2016 and joined the committee in 2020.
Dusingize Maria Natacha, Founding Member and Secretary
With 10 years’ experience in Banking and Investment funds services, Natacha holds a Master in Political Science and International Relations and is currently working as client relationship manager at Degroof Petercam Asset Services (Luxembourg).
Aimao Poean, Treasurer
Aimao is an Associate Director in the Finance team of an American Alternative Investment Manager based in Luxembourg.After her graduation in 2007 from the ESC Clermont Business School, Aimao started her career as an auditor in PwC Luxembourg. In March 2014, Aimao joined the Private Equity / Venture Capital Audit Department of EY Luxembourg as an Audit manager then was promoted to Audit Senior Manager. Aimao is a chartered certified accountant and has gained extensive experience on Private Equity/Venture Capital clients. Aimao was born in Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and she speaks French and English. She joined luxAfrica in 2016 and was the President of the Association in 2018 and 2019. Aimao is a pan African who strongly believes in the Africa’s growth and potential and want to spotlight its business opportunities.
Aïssata Coulibaly, Private Equity Specialist
Aïssata is an Audit Associate Partner in the Private Equity and Commercial sector of EY in Luxembourg. Aïssata holds a master degree from Kogod School of Business (Washington D.C.) and has 13 years of relevant experience working in Luxembourg, Australia and the UK on large audit engagements. Aïssata is a chartered certified accountant with audit qualification and practicing certificate and is also certified accountant in Luxembourg, thus member of the IRE. With strong focus on emerging markets and Africa in particular, Aïssata is at the forefront of promoting the African growth story and advocating for greater level of investments into Africa so as to realize the continent’s possibilities.
Clement Hofbauer, Tax Counsel
As an experienced Tax professional with a dual background in Law and Finance, Clement, International Tax Manager for more than 9 years with KPMG, holder of the Bar exam is also a Luxembourg registered Chartered Accountant (Expert Comptable) and strives to provide his clients with high standard Luxembourg and International Tax advice. He mostly specializes in cross-border corporate tax planning with a focus on Private Equity clients. Actively leading a dedicated KPMG team to provide advice for African inbound and outbound investment, Clement also teaches International tax for various Luxembourg institutions.
Isabelle Lemeunier, Communication
Isabelle is a qualified lawyer who has been working for more than 4 years as an associate in the Corporate / M&A department of Baker McKenzie Luxembourg where she has been acting for leading multinational corporations and private equity funds for the setting-up of their corporate structures, the implementation of global restructurings and mergers and acquisitions, and the structuring and implementation of private equity transactions and management incentive plans.Isabelle holds a master's degree in French and European business laws and the Magistère de Juriste d'Affaires Européen et Interne degree from the Nancy Law School (University of Lorraine). Isabelle speaks French and English.
