Aimao Poean, President
Aimao is an Audit Senior Manager specialized in Private Equity/Venture Capital. She is working with EY Luxembourg since March 2014. After her graduation in 2007, Aimao started her career as auditor in PwC Luxembourg. She has worked on large Asset management and Private Equity audits, where she gained extensive experience on Private Equity/Venture Capital clients, including some of the largest PE clients which are active in diverse industries (Real estate, Microfinance, renewable energies, etc.). Aimao was born in Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and she speaks French and English.
Aimao is pan African who strongly believes in the Africa’s growth and potential.
Bertrand Moupfouma, Founding Member and Vice-President
Bertrand is lawyer and founding partner of Themis Lex a law firm based in Luxembourg. He is active in M&A practice, corporate, investment fund, financing transaction, with a focus on venture capital, private equity and real estate with over 15 years of practice. He has also developed a strong expertise relating to intellectual property and communication technologies.Bertrand holds a Master’s degree in international business law and management (HEC, France in partnership with ESCP, France).
Mazowe Bingala, Vice-President
Malawian by Nationality and currently Vice President of the Luxembourg Africa Investment Association, Mazowe is currently working as Assistant Vice President at State Street Services (Luxembourg) S.A. – Alternative Investment Solutions. He has 10 years’ experience in Financial Audit practice with big-four Audit firms (Luxembourg, UK and Malawi) in Private Equity and Venture Capital, Captive Insurance, Agriculture and Commercial Industries. He is a Qualified Chattered Accountant and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a Master of Science in Banking and Finance from the University of Luxembourg and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Malawi. Mazowe is passionate about finance and economics and related developments in Africa.
Malik Sangare, Secretary.
Malik (Secretary of LuxAfrica) is working within the Luxembourg Asset Management industry since 2009. Currently he is working as Risk Manager within Tishman Speyer, prior to that he has worked within UBS, Aviva Investors Luxembourg and KPMG in Luxembourg. He is graduated in Audit and Accounting Management at the Skema Business School (Lille and Paris France) and Economy and Management at the Sorbonne University.
Dusingize Maria Natacha, Founding Member and Treasurer
With 10 year's experience in Banking and Investment funds services, Natacha holds a Master in Political Science and International Relations and is currently working as client relationship manager at Degroof Petercam Asset Services (Luxembourg).
Auguste Mutombo is Legal Counsel in Banking and Financial sector. He joined BGL BNP Paribas in 2015. He gained relevant experience in Corporate, Institutional and Commercial Banking, with a focus on Derivatives Master Agreements and EMTN Programmes. He has recently joined the Legal Digital and Daily Banking team. He also made a contribution to the launch of the 1st microfinance Institution in Luxembourg. Auguste is an Alumnus of the University of Luxembourg; he holds a Master in EU Law and Litigation (LL.M.). As a Board Member of MixCity Luxembourg which is a mixed professional network aiming to be a constructive player in equal opportunities for the benefit of its members and the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg. Auguste Mutombo strongly believes in equal opportunities and he is committed to the achievement of gender equality.
Aïssata is an Audit Senior Manager in the commercial and public sector of EY in Luxembourg with focus on telecommunication, media and technology (TMT) and private equity. Aïssata holds a master degree from Kogod School of Business (Washington D.C.) and has 11 years of relevant experience working in Luxembourg, Australia and the UK on large audit engagements. Aïssata is a chartered certified accountant with audit qualification and practicing certificate and is also certified accountant in Luxembourg, thus member of the IRE. With strong focus on emerging markets and Africa in particular, Aïssata is at the forefront of promoting the African growth story and advocating for greater level of investments into Africa so as to realize the continent’s possibilities. Aïssata is co-leading the ICT task force.
As an experienced Tax professional with a dual background in Law and Finance, Clement, International Tax consultant, holder of the Bar exam is also a Luxembourg registered Chartered Accountant (Expert Comptable) and strive to provide his clients with high standard Luxembourg and International Tax advice. He mostly specializes in cross-border corporate tax planning with a focus on Private Equity clients.
Patrick Nana Yambou
Patrick is a A. Manager in the Luxembourg Transaction Tax practice of EY Luxembourg. He holds a law and tax degree from University of Lille, France. Patrick speaks French, English, and is conversational in Spanish.Cumulating more than 5 years of transactional experience, Patrick is specialized in international Private Equity and AIF Funds buy-side and sell-side projects and assisting Multinationals in cross border transactions on all Luxembourg tax aspects of acquisition, structuring, restructuring and disposal.
The Luxembourg Investments Association was established in 2014
